Shotgun Safety
1) Safety of your fellow shooters, MSC neighbors, and yourself is most important.
Use common sense.
2) Shot: Keep shot fall to the North or East. Do not shoot in the direction of the houses on the West side of the club grounds.
3) Keep shotgun actions open until ready to fire. Load only the number of shells needed, typically two. Limit shot size to no larger than 7 1/2 (shot gun loads appropriate for clay birds, NO buckshot or slugs fired in the air)
4) Follow all posted rules
5) Clean up after yourself. Clay bird boxes are bulky; please break down before disposal.
6) Skeet range: Use ONLY stations 1-4 and return.(see diagram below)
7) Skeet and trap ranges have priority over pistol amphitheater Wednesdays, 4:00pm to dark and Saturdays, 10:00am - 2:00pm. A sign to restrict the use of the pistol range is available in the high skeet house.

Equipment
1) Operation of the throwers is dangerous. Misuse can cause injury and/or damage to equipment.
2) Insure range is safe before entering houses. Turn off equipment before servicing and when leaving. Machine should be switched off, unplugged, and throwing arm released in the 11 o'clock position.
3) Malfunctions may be due to broken birds; keep machine mechanism clean of debris.
4) Do not operate machinery in cold weather, below 32 degrees.
5) Clean up, close up, and lock up after each use.
6) Machine problems - Call Gerald Wright at 335-2921 or George Wright at 299-9791.

Recommendations
1) Use only new birds
2) Report problems to a club officer.

Note: These are general rules to assist in safe handling of shotgun range equipment and firearms. These rules are subject to change, as well as other rules and guidelines that may apply.

I have read and understand above rules.
