Calendar Updates

I am working on updating the calendar for the rest of the summer. The calendar at the club looked a little light for the upcoming months. If anyone know of any events pending that are not on the club house calendar, please let me know (peter.hein@wright.edu) and I will incorporate them into the web update. Thank you very much.

Range Safety Trainning

MSC and Vince from Family Tactical Training is offering a great opportunity to our club. There are 12 slots open for NRA Range Safety Officer training for $50! This is a wonderful chance to further your knowledge and help keep the club safe. If you are interested contact our President, John Thyne for more information.

USPA Match Cancelation

MSC is canceling its scheduled USPSA Match, 13 June 2010, due to the number of members attending the Area 5 Championship in IL. We will be back in July!

Ed Suhr Range Dedication

EdSuhr-dedication

Safety Briefing Notice!

Please take note for new and renewing members and schedule appropriately.

There will not be a Safety briefing this coming Saturday May 15, 2010 as previously scheduled.

While there may not be a Safety Briefing, there still will be a
work party taking place. There are several projects that need some hands. As usual it will start around 9am and go until 1pm.

Membership Renewal

Remember to bring your MSC membership renewal form and a check to the next meeting (12 May 2010) if you have not already sent it in to Mark Anderson. Also everyone will need to attend one of the safety briefing with Rick.

New pictures in the Gallery

There are some new pictures in the gallery. Check out the pheasant shoot that Crew 357 had. They all had a good time and had a safe and fun shoot. You can also see their travels as they headed out to Yellowstone Park. It looks like everyone had great time. And the scenery out west is always beautiful. We also have a few snaps of one of our IPSC Monday Matches.

Enjoy!

Smallbore Leauge

The Smallbore league has a section on the website. They are posting the weekly match scores. Please check on the sidebar under Leagues and Events for both information and scores of the league. They shoot every Thursday between 2:30 - 7:00pm in the clubhouse. Come out to see what the sport is about, or bring your .22, eye and ear protection and join in the match!

Appleseed Project Events

Mike Kinsey, a trustee for MSC and a leader in the Appleseed project, has several events coming up this year at the Miamisburg Sportsmen’s Club. The project is great for the young, middle-aged, and older alike. There is much to learn, and for us older folk it is a worthy organization to become involved in and teach our youngsters. For more information you can click here.
